Back in school!

Guess who's the newest student at the Gemological Institute of America? Me! And the other girls at work! Charlotte, Jessica, Autumn, and I have started our training with GIA to become certified to color and clarity grade diamonds. I've already finished my first class. It was pretty simple so I thought that the rest of the classes would be a breeze- WRONG! For the next 15 months (or hopefully less) I will be learning all about the history of diamonds, which is the most BORING subject ever, but it's going to be worth it in the end. After I pass my online final, we have a lab on 5th Ave. in New York for five days! I can't wait for this once in a lifetime opportunity but there is one little problem.... How am I supposed to leave my little Emery for a whole week? I hate to think about it so I guess I'll just cross that bridge when I come to it.

This is just how bored Autumn and I get on Saturdays. We pose with our textbooks. Lame, we know.

Our HUGE text book. That's a lot to learn!

I hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend! I'll have my head in the books. Maybe :)

Getting up to speed...

Well, it looks like I was finally convinced to start a blog! (Mainly thanks to my very good friend, Brittany Willis- without whom, this blog and all its cuteness wouldn't exist!) I'm new to it and still starting to get the hang of it so bare with me! To give everyone a general idea of my life, I'll start with my sweet husband, Mitch Lavecchia. We met around 5 years ago through our job and little did we know that love, marriage, and a sweet baby girl would bring us to where we are today! The countdown for her arrival ends in November, which seems entirely to soon- especially when I look at her nursery-to-be and see an empty room that looks more like a storage room than a little girl's nursery! I will keep everyone posted as it slowly comes together!

Here are a few pictures from our last ultrasound.

This is my all time favorite! She yawned and then rolled over on her tummy to go back to sleep- just like her momma always does :)

I think she's saying hello to everyone but her daddy swears shes saying Roll Tide's #1. Don't worry guys, I wont let that happen. Shes already a little Auburn tiger!

Her beautiful face! It melts my heart every time! :)
